Do you have a background in food?
Besides food tech in secondary school and a summer working in a small cafe, absolutely not! I am not formally trained in food at all! Everything that I post here is things I have learnt myself over the years, what my mother has taught me and what I am currently teaching myself.
I disagree with your views/writing in a specific post/recipe
By all means you are entitled to your opinion and I value others viewpoints, especially on more touchy subjects, I will always have a warning at the beginning of any post that may upset anyone and from then on it is your choice whether or not you carry on reading :)
I welcome all criticism and will use it to improve the quality of this blog, I also welcome on topic debates on any subject from this blog in the comments section below but please be aware that i have a zero tolerance of bullying of any kind, any harmful, offensive and inappropriate comments WILL be deleted, this blog is meant to be for everyone whether they are young or old, please be respectful of other peoples feelings and attitudes.
Where did you get your blogger template and header?
Good question! After searching around for quite a while I never found a perfect template until I came across Blogger Candy, It's a great website for free blogger templates and tutorials of how to install them! you can find the link to their website at the bottom of every page!
What are your views on copy write?
Ah, now this is something I do have a very strong opinion about which may or may not agree with some people, I have a bit of a history with copy write and would like to take this opportunity to express a few opinions of mine.
A few years ago I had to remove a chunk of writing of apparent copy write violations which are completely false and the only reason I took my own work down was for my reputations sake, in this particular case for instance, I had a similar piece of work to an at the time competitor, the only difference was that this other person sold the thing I was giving away for free, surely enough I was contacted and accused of stealing work and publishing it as my own, baring in mind I have never heard of this person before or seen their work up to this point, they pointed out our work was identical, that I must have copied them.
I had no way of proving myself as the only way to check to see if our work matched was to buy the work to check it myself and they weren't willing to send over the apparent matching content and that if I didn't take the work down they would "name and shame" me on social media, long story short I was forced to take my work down due to the fact I could not access the offending material to prove they were nothing alike and as they had a huge following of people at the ready to wreck any chance of becoming successful I had no choice but to remove the work, it was only after I had permanently deleted the work in question did this person admit our work only contained similarities in one paragraph, but of course by this point it was too late.
If you believe at any point I may have stolen someones work or plagiarised in any way, please drop me a message via my email address and I will happily deal with the claim, rather than taking to social media or such, chances are, the work you think I've "copied" I have most likely never seen before in my life.
I would never steal another persons hard work, not now, not in the past, not ever, so I leave you with this notion, with the amount of people on this planet, of course at some point 2 people are going to have the exact same idea, but if they execute this idea in 2 completely different methods to reach the same conclusion, is it stealing? take Youtube for instance, say 2 youtubers come up with a concept for a video, they film it differently, add different ideas, but the topic of the video is the same thing, would one try to take down the other for having the same idea? of course not! And thinking about it...surely everything is technically copied from somewhere! car designs, architecture and even recipes all originated from somewhere, so why isn't this plagiarism?
Anyway rant over! Sorry if this offends anyone or contradicts your opinion, this is just what i feel from personal experience!
